Artist, designer and the founder of the brand ‘PuSu Shanghai’. After graduating from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts majoring in Graphic Design, Chen Yanfei had worked as art director for several media titles including Guangzhou South Newspaper Group, Shanghai Bund Pictorial, and Elle Deco Magazine. In 2011, he started series of furniture and interior design, and founded the brand ‘PuSu Shanghai’ specializing in Furniture and Accessories.

Chen Yanfei has been studying Chinese calligraphy art since early age. Heavily influenced by modern Japanese calligraphy during college, he began to develop his distinctive style in calligraphy art demonstrating the integration of classical Oriental aesthetics and contemporary aesthetics. Such aesthetic thoughts are also found in his later design works. After researching and collecting Chinese Ming-style antique furnitures for over ten years, he established the brand ‘PuSu Shanghai’ in the hope of leading a harmonious and artistic lifestyle focusing on contemporary interpretation of Chinese literati aesthetics.
