Unique Design X Group is a female-founded commercial platform dedicated to the promotion of functional art or collectible design, its community of artists, galleries, collectors, enthusiasts, and institutions.
Launched as the first platform exclusively dedicated to collectible design in China during the 2019 Shanghai Art Week and continuing our shows in Paris and the USA, our goal is to be a nomadic platform that enhances the collectible design global community and the creative skate community, encouraging innovation and creativity through multicultural diverse exchanges.
We believe in a pluralistic vision of our shared future that is inclusive of all backgrounds, all possible ways of being, imaginable styles of living & all opportunities for creativity. Diversity of thought and experience are what fuel the beauty and power of creativity, and should never be taken for granted.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Morgan Morris has worked with contemporary art and design since the early 90’s with a special focus on Chinese contemporary art and design culture.
Morris began her career at Sotheby’s in London before moving to France early 90’s where she worked closely with the eponymous contemporary art dealer Leo Castelli for the establishment of his “French friends of the Leo Castelli association”. In 2000, Morris moved to Italy to work with Bologna Fiere Group for the development of art, fashion and design fairs in China. She partnered and developed the SH Contemporary Art Fair, Beijing Design Week, Photo Beijing and Beijing Fashion Week. In 2013 she worked as Director of Collectible Design for the London UK based group Media 10, where she worked closely on the development of 100% Design (London), Clarkenwell Design Week (London), and was co-founder and partner with Design Shanghai and China Design Beijing.
In 2019 she founded and launched Unique Design X Group, the 1st nomadic platform for the promotion of collectible design with a vision to promote the creative community in collectible design and beyond.
